:-: Fortnum & Mason Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon :-:

I love, love, love Forntum’s. I mean, it’s not just teatime. It really is a whole experience.

You make your way out of the chilly London air into the warmth of all that 181 Piccadilly, a gorgeous brick building overflowing with afternoon tea goodness, has to offer. Once you’re through the wood and glass framed double doors, each floor has something different to see.

Lower ground floor (i.e., entry level): Welcome to the Food Hall, where you can shop for teas and treats.

Note: I would count this as the first floor, but that’s not how they do in the UK, so we’ll just go with it. Hop in the lift and here we go!

First Floor: teaware, homeware, and even an ice cream parlour

Second Floor: fragrances galore

Third Floor: Hello, hampers. Come home with me.

Fourth Floor: The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon. Need I say more? Nope. Here come the photos…

In addition to the traditional afternoon tea, Fortnum’s also offers a children’s tea, a vegetarian tea, and a savoury tea menu. M decided to give the savoury option a go. The flavor combos were quite … interesting - to say the least. We recommend sticking to the traditional route. Have you tried it? What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by.

See you next teatime,

C
